This is a drug label for a liquid medication that contains 15mg of dextromethorphan HBr per 5 mL, which is a cough suppressant, 350 mg of guaifenesin per 5 mL, which is an expectorant, and 10 mg of phenylephrine HCl per 5 mL, which is a nasal decongestant. The medication should be taken every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 doses in 24 hours, or as directed by a doctor. This medication is not intended for children under the age of 6. If nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occurs, or if symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by fever, it is advised to ask a doctor. Additionally, this product should not be used if taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). The medication comes in grape flavor and generally contains 16 fluid ounces.
