Ciclopirox Shampoo is a topical medication used only for the scalp. It is not intended for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use. This medication contains 10 mg of ciclopirox and should be used twice a week for four weeks with at least three days between applications. Each use should be left on for three minutes before rinsing. Avoid contact with the eyes. If no clinical improvement is seen after four weeks, the diagnosis should be reviewed. The shampoo is available in a 120 mL bottle and should be kept out of reach of children. The shampoo base includes disodium laureth, sulfate, and other ingredients.
