This is a description of Clobetasol Propionate Foam, an emollient formulation with a concentration of 0.05%, intended for topical use only, and not for ophthalmic, oral, or intravaginal use. The foam is made up of several ingredients including clobetasol propionate, anhydrous citric acid, cetyl alcohol, cyclomethicone, glycerin, isopropyl myristate, polyoxy 20 cetostearyl ether, potassium citrate monohydrate, propylene glycol, purified water, sorbitan monolaurate and phenylethanol. The pressurized can contains hydrocarbon (propane/butane) propellant, and should be shaken before use. The package contains a warning of the flammable nature of the foam, and that it should be kept away from flames, smoking, and excessive heat. The foam should not be exposed to temperatures above 120°F (49°C), and contact with the eyes or mucous membranes should be avoided. The package is not child-resistant, and the foam should be stored at room temperature, 20-25°C (68-77°F). Produced in Israel by Perrigo, this foam is prescribed by a physician, and comes with a full package insert with prescribing information.*
