Each gram of the fluocinonide gel contains 0.5 mg of the active ingredient fluocinonide in a gel base comprised of carbomer 980, edetate disodium, propyl gallate, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide (to adjust pH), and purified water. This medication is intended for external use only and should not be used in the eyes. The usual dosage involves gently massaging a small amount onto the affected area two to four times daily, as required.
