Erythromycin Topical Gel USP 2% is a dermatologic medication used to treat acne. It contains 20mg of erythromycin USP in a vehicle made of dehydrated alcohol and hydroxypropyl cellulose. The medication should be applied once or twice daily to affected areas after thorough cleansing and patting dry, without rubbing. Hands should be washed after application, and the medication should be kept out of reach of children. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes. The tube should be opened by reversing the cap and pushing the pointed top into the neck seal. To close, screw the cap onto the tube.
