It can be used orally or rectally, and each 60 mL dose contains 15 g of sodium polystyrene sulfonate USP along with sorbitol solution USP, aluminum, purified propylene glycol US, and around 20 g of sorbitol. The sodium content of each 60 mL dose is 1.5 g (65 mEq). The package insert should be consulted for dosage information.
