MEDI-FIRST Blood Clotting Spray is a topical antiseptic and anesthetic drug that helps control superficial bleeding, relieves pain in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns, as well as helps prevent infections. The product is manufactured for institutional adult use only and contains benzethonium chloride (0.2% w/w) and lidocaine (4% w/w) as active ingredients. The spray can be used by following specific instructions, which include shaking the can well before use, holding it 6-8 inches away from the surface, spraying it until the bleeding stops and the affected area is fully covered, and allowing the scab to disappear or removing it with soap and water. The spray must be stored at room temperature and not exposed to temperatures above 120°F. It contains isobutane, isopropyl myristate, karaya, n-butane, propane, silica, sorbitan monolaurate, talc, and tragacanth as inactive ingredients. The drug must not be used on blistered or raw surfaces, in the eyes or other mucous membranes, or for a prolonged period.
