Hydrocortisone Cream 1% is an external use only medication that provides temporary relief of itching associated with minor skin irritation, inflammation, and rashes. The cream should not be applied to the rectum by using fingers, mechanical device, or an applicator. The recommended daily dosage should not be exceeded unless directed by a doctor. This medication should not be used with any other Hydrocortisone product unless consulted by a doctor. One should avoid contact with eyes and seek medical assistance if symptoms persist for more than 7 days. The medication should be kept away from children, and if swallowed, one should immediately seek medical assistance or contact a Poison Control Center. Inactive ingredients contain emulsifying wax, ethyl alcohol, methylparaben, mineral oil, paraffin, petrolatum, propylparaben, purified water, and white wax.
