SAFECER HEALTH offers a solution for occasional constipation with its DOCUSATE SODIUM softgels. Each softgel contains 250mg of Docusate Sodium, a stool softener that helps to prevent dry, hard stools. This product generally produces a bowel movement within 12 to 72 hours. Though it contains 13mg of sodium, the softgels are for institutional use only and are not child-resistant. Dosage instructions state that adults and children 12 years or older should take orally 1 softgel preferably at bedtime for 2 to 3 days or until bowel movements are normal or as directed by a doctor. Children under 12 years old should not use this product unless directed by a doctor.
