This is a description of a medicine used to help loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions, making coughs more productive. It is an expectorant that is mainly composed of guaifenesin at a dose of 400mg per tablet. The medicine should not be used if the printed seal under the cap is broken or absent. It is recommended to ask a doctor before using the medicine in case of persistent or chronic cough, persistent headache, fever, or rash. The medicine is also not to be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women without consulting a health professional first. The instruction is one tablet every four hours for adults and children over twelve years, half a tablet every four hours for children between six and twelve years, and consulting a doctor for children under six years of age. The medicine should not be taken for more than six doses in 24 hours or as directed by the doctor. The inactive ingredients for the medicine include magnesium stearate, microcrystalline, and cellulose.
