This is a Drug Fact sheet for Aspirin. Aspirin is an NSAID used as a pain reliever/fever reducer. It can cause stomach bleeding and trigger severe allergic reactions. It is especially important not to use aspirin during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless definitely directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery. Before using aspirin, consult your doctor if you have stomach bleeding or problems, high blood pressure, heart disease, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease or asthma. Do not use this product if printed safety seal under the cap is torn or missing. Adults and children over 12 years can take 4 to 8 tablets every 4 hours not to exceed 48 tablets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor. The product also contains inactive ingredients such as colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, and microcrystalline cellulose.*
