Hydrocortisone (Gal Hydro Ointment)
Galantic Hydrocortisone Ointment 1% is a drug used for temporary relief of minor skin irritations, itching, and rashes caused by eczema, insect bites, poison ivy or oak, poison sumac, detergents, cosmetics, jewelry, and external genital, feminine and anal itching. The active ingredient is Hydrocortisone Acetate.USP (1% w/w) and it should not be used in the eyes and for vaginal discharge or in more than the recommended dosage. This product should be only used under a doctor’s advice and supervision. It is for external use only and should be kept out of reach of children. If swallowed, medical help is advised. An adult and children over 2 years of age can use it and should not exceed three to four times a day unless directed by a doctor. Before use, a doctor should be asked if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If symptoms persist for more than seven days, it's necessary to stop use and ask a doctor. If it clears up and occurs again within a few days, use it as per the direction. Other details such as inactive ingredients, direction to use, cautions, reorder number, etc., are also given.*
