This is a description of a surgical scrub solution with 7.5% Povidone Iodine which is used to kill microorganisms on hands and forearms before conducting surgery or providing patient care. It can also be used as a first-aid antiseptic to prevent skin infections in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. The solution should not be used by individuals who are allergic or sensitive to iodine and should not be used longer than one week without doctor's direction. The solution is for external use only and should not be used in the eyes or on deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns. The inactive ingredients in this solution include glycerin, nonoxynol-9, PEG-300, sodium hydroxide, sodium phosphate, and water. Store the solution between 15C and 30C.*
