Mucus Relief Expectorant is a drug with the active ingredient Guaifenesin. It helps to loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive. The recommended dosage for adults and children over 12 years of age is one tablet every four hours, not to exceed six tablets in 24 hours. The drug must be taken with a full glass of water. The inactive ingredients of the drug include coloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, and sodium starch glycolate steatic. The drug should not be used in children under 12 years of age. Users should seek medical help or contact a Poison Control Center in case of overdose. The printed safety seal under the cap should not be broken or missing. For further warnings and product information, the user should keep the outer carton. If possible, ask a doctor before use if the patient has a persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, or a cough accompanied by too much phlegm (mucus).*
