The CVS Health Hemorrhoidal Relief Cream is a maximum strength lidocaine formula that provides rapid numbing relief for pain, itching, and burning associated with hemorrhoids. It also reduces swelling and provides a soothing and protective layer. The product comes in a 1 oz (28g) tube and contains active ingredients such as Glycerin, Lidocaine, and Phenylephrine HCI. The cream also temporarily shrinks hemorrhoidal tissue and provides a coating for relief of anorectal discomfort. However, it is meant for external use only, and users must ask a doctor before use if they have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or difficulty urinating due to enlargement of the prostate gland. The cream must not be used in the rectum by using fingers or any mechanical device or applicator, and users must not exceed the recommended daily dosage unless directed by a doctor.
