METHOTREXATE is a tablet, which should be stored at a temperature between 20° to 25°C. This medication should be kept out of reach of children as it has the potential to cause severe toxicity. Close supervision of the physician is required during its usage. It is advised to avoid writing or refilling its prescription without a direct order from the physician. Blood counts are recommended to be taken weekly, and its dosage should be discontinued, or reduced immediately at first sign of ulceration or bleeding in the mouth, gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding, diarrhea, or marked depression of bone marrow. It should be dispensed in a tight and light-resistant container using a child-resistant closure.
