Ketoconazole KT Cream 2% is a dermatologic medication that contains 20 micrograms of ketoconazole per gram in addition to butylated hydroxyanlsole (BHA), cetyl alcohol, isopropyl mynstate, polysorbate 60, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, purified water, sorbitan monostearate, and wstearyl alcohol. It is advisable to check the package insert for complete prescribing instructions before taking this medication. The medication should be kept at temperatures of 20°-25°C (68°-77°F). Only for dermatologic use and it is not meant for ophthalmic use. Taro Pharmaceuticals manufactures the drug, which is marketed by GSMS in Camarillo, CA. Before using the cream, check the carton fold and/or tube crimp for the lot number and expiration date. The cream comes in a tube with a cap that can be punctured using the instructions provided.
