Lidocaine USP is an ointment with a 5% solution in a water-soluble base consisting of polyethylene glycol 400, polyethylene glycol 3350, and propylene glycol. As recommended by the package insert for complete prescribing information, standard dosing should be followed. Store between 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F) and keep away from frost.
