Nitroglycerin Lingual Spray is a medication that is contained in a metered dose spray. It is intended to be used to relieve chest pain and can be used prophylactically as well. The pump must be primed five times into the air before use. Each metered spray provides 400 mg of nitroglycerin. The medication should not be inhaled and should not be swallowed immediately. If chest pain persists, medical attention is highly recommended. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be opened forcefully or burned after use. It also contains 20% alcohol. The drug must be administered as directed, and the patient should read the patient information before use.*
