This is a product description for Metronidazole Gel USP, 1%. It is a topical medication used to treat certain skin conditions. It contains metronidazole, hydrous ethanol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, polyethylene glycol 400, propylene glycol, sorbic acid and purified water. The recommended dosage is to apply a thin layer to the affected areas once a day or as directed by a physician. It is not recommended to apply the gel too close to the eyes.
