This is a drug description for a cough suppressant called "SUPRESS" with the active ingredients Dextromethorphan HBY and Guaifenesin. It temporarily controls cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation that may occur with a cold, helps loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions to clear the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus, and make coughs more productive. The drug does not contain sugar, dye, alcohol, aspartame, or sorbitol. This drug is intended for children aged 6 to under 12 years and must be taken every 4 hours, with a maximum of six doses in any 24 hours, or as directed by a doctor. The drug must be stored at controlled room temperature between 15°-30°C (59°-86°F) and away from excessive heat and humidity. The drug may have side effects, and in case of accidental overdose, the user must get medical help or contact Poison Control Center right away. The manufacturer of this drug is Kramer-Novis in San Juan, Puerto Rico.*
