This is a drug facts sheet for a first aid antibiotic ointment with 500 bacitracin units of bacitracin zinc as its active ingredient. It is used to prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It should only be applied externally and not on the eyes or on allergic individuals. Do not use over large areas of the body for more than a week unless directed by a doctor. It should also not be used on deep or puncture wounds, serious burns, and animal bites without consulting a doctor. In case of the persistence of the condition or the occurrence of a rash or allergic reaction, stop use and ask a doctor. The ointment has to be applied one to three times daily with a sterile bandage. It is composed of hard paraffin, liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, and lanolin. The product is manufactured by Shield Line LLC and is made in India.*
