Phenylephrine injection solution is available in a single-dose bag for intravenous use. Each mL of the solution contains Phenylephrine HCl 160 mcg, Sodium Chloride 9.056 mg, Sodium Citrate (Dihydrate) 64 mcg, Sodium Metabisulfite 32 mcg, Citric Acid 14.6 mcg. The pH is adjusted using Citric Acid/Sodium Hydroxide solution. It is an outsourced compounded drug, not for resale and is manufactured by the Scantrell Drug Company. It is only for Hospital/Office use, and has to be stored at room temperature but protected from light. It does not contain any antimicrobial preservative.
