Loperamide Hydrochloride Tablets, 2 mg are an anti-diarrheal medication used to control the symptoms of diarrhea, including travelers’ diarrhea. This medication may cause serious heart problems and should not be used if you have ever had a rash or other allergic reaction to Loperamide HCI. If you have bloody or black stool, mucus in the stool, or a history of liver disease, you should ask a doctor before use. When using this product, tiredness, drowsiness, or dizziness may occur. The dosage for adults is 2 caplets after the first loose stool and 1 caplet after each subsequent loose stool, but no more than 4 caplets in 24 hours. Keep out of reach of children and store at 20°-25°C (68°-77° F). If symptoms get worse or diarrhea lasts for more than 2 days, stop use and ask a doctor.*
