Defensolito Children (Defensolito Children Syrup)

Defensolito Children (Defensolito Children Syrup)
DEFENSOLITO is a cough syrup for children that contains DEXTROMETHORPHAN HBR (a cough suppressant) and GUAIFENESIN (an expectorant). It is used to relieve coughs, chest congestion, and mucus. The active ingredients in each 15 mL dose work by loosening thick mucus and thin bronchial secretions to make the cough more productive. It is important not to exceed the recommended dosage and if the cough persists for more than a week or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache, one should consult a doctor. DEFENSOLITO should not be used if the child is taking a prescription medication containing "MAOI," which includes certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease. The product is not recommended for a persistent or chronic cough unless directed by a doctor. The medicine should be stored between 15-30°C (59-86°F), and all drugs should be kept out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, one should contact a poison control center or seek medical attention.*
