Broncofin (Broncofin)
This is a drug information document for a cough suppressant containing Dextromethorphan HBr and a nasal decongestant containing Phenylephrine HCI. It is intended to provide relief from cough due to throat and bronchial irritation and nasal congestion resulting from common cold or inhaled irritants. It is important not to exceed the recommended dosage, and persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. This product should not be used for chronic cough accompanying smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema, or cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus), unless directed by a doctor. It also contains a warning regarding the use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI). Adult dosage and inactive ingredients are provided, and the product is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.*
