This is a description of Chiorhexidine Gluconate Oral Rinse, an oral rinse used in treating gingivitis characterized by redness, swelling, and bleeding of the gums. The rinse contains 0.12% chorhexidine gluconate, which provides antimicrobial activity. It is intended for twice-daily oral rinsing for 30 seconds after toothbrushing. The rinse may cause tooth discoloration and increase in tartar formation, and alter taste perception temporarily. The product should be stored between 20°C to 25°C and should not be ingested or used by persons hypersensitive to its components. The product should be used with caution on patients with anterior facial restorations with rough surfaces or margins.*
