Chlorhexidine Gluconate Insert (Chg Pdp 010)

Chlorhexidine Gluconate Insert (Chg Pdp 010)
SAGE Chlorhexidine Gluconate Oral Rinse is an antimicrobial solution containing 0.12% chlorhexidine gluconate, a salt of chlorhexidine and gluconic acid that provides microbial activity during oral rinsing. It is indicated for use between dental visits to treat gingivitis characterized by redness and swelling of the gums, including gum bleeding upon probing. The rinse may cause tooth discoloration, or increased tartar formation, particularly in areas where stain and tartar usually form. The treatment should be initiated directly following a dental prophylaxis, twice daily oral rinsing for 30 seconds, morning and evening after toothbrushing. The usual recommended dose is 15 mL of undiluted rinse. The rinse should not be used by persons who have a hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine gluconate or to other formula ingredients. If any allergic symptoms such as skin swelling, breathing difficulties, rapid heart rate, upset stomach or diarrhea are experienced, medical attention should be sought immediately.*
