SRAGE Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.12% Oral Rinse is an antimicrobial solution provided in single dose 0.5 fluid ounce (15 mL) amber plastic bottles with child-resistant dispensing closures. It contains 0.12% chlorhexidine gluconate which is a salt of chlorhexidine and gluconic acid, along with water, 11.6% alcohol, glycerin, PEG-40 sorbitan disostearate, flavor, sodium saccharin, and FOAC Blue No. 1. This oral rinse is intended to treat gingivitis, reduce gum swelling and redness and control gum bleeding. Use of Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.12% Oral Rinse should not result in an increase in subgingival calculus, and there have been no significant changes in bacterial resistance or overgrowth of potentially opportunistic organisms found in clinical studies. The recommended use is twice daily for 30 seconds after toothbrushing, without rinsing with water, other mouthwashes or eating immediately after use. The product should not be swallowed. Not for use in children under 18 years old. The most common side effect is an increase in staining of teeth and other oral surfaces.*
