Metaxalone, USP is a medication that comes in tablet form. Each tablet contains 800 mg of the medication. It is recommended that adults and children over 12 years of age take one tablet (800 mg) three to four times a day. The prescribing information is available in the package insert. The medication should be stored at 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F) with excursions permitted between 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F). This medication is only available by prescription and should be dispensed in a well-closed container.
