HemAway is a topical cream that temporarily relieves pain, itching, and discomfort due to anorectal disorders, including hemorrhoids. It also temporarily shrinks hemorrhoidal tissue. HemAway contains active ingredients such as local anesthetic and Phenylephrine HCI 0.25%, which acts as a vasoconstrictor, and also contains Aloe, Vitamin E, and some extracts which help soothe the inflamed area. The product has warnings and precautions, such as not applying the cream inside the rectum and asking a doctor before use if the patient has certain conditions or is taking some medications.*
