This is a multiple-dose vial of Lidocaine HCI 1% and Epinephrine 1:100,000 injection. It is recommended for infiltration and nerve block but not for epidural or gaudal use. Each mL includes lidocaine HCI, anhyd 10 mg, epinephrine 10mg, sodium chloride 7 mg, sodium metabisulfite 0.5 mg, and citric acid, anhyd 0.2 mg added as stabilizers; methylparaben 1mg added as preservative. The typical dosage of the product is advised to be taken from the accompanying insert that contains prescribing information, warnings, and precautions. It is essential not to use the injection if it contains a precipitate or if its color is pinkish or darker than slightly yellow. This unit dose package is not child resistant and intended for institutional use only. The vial should be stored at 20 to 25°C (88 to 77°F) and kept covered until the contents are used.
