Heparin Sodium Injection is a sterile aqueous injection derived from porcine intestinal mucosa and is standardized for use as an anticoagulant. Each 0.5ml Carpuject cartridge contains 5,000 USP units of heparin sodium in water for injection. The solution is pH adjusted between5.0 to 7.5 with hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide. It is distributed by Hospira, Inc and Cardinal Health, and is intended for institutional use only. This unit dose package is not child resistant. Store at 20 to 25°C, and do not freeze.
