This is a description of a medication called Labetalol Hydrochloride Injection, USP. It contains 20mg/mL (5mg/mL) in a 8x4mL Carpuject sterile cartridge unit with a Luer Lock. Needles are not included and it is for intravenous injection only. Each cartridge contains 5mg of Labetalol Hydrochloride USP, 45mg anhydrous dextrose, 0.1mg edetate disodium citric acid monohydrate and sodium hydroxide, 0.8mg methylparaben and 0.1mg propylparaben as preservatives, necessary to adjust pH between 3.0 and 4.5. The product insert should be consulted for usual adult dosage and route of administration. It should be stored at 20-25°C, protected from freezing and light, and kept in the original carton until the time of use. This is not a child-resistant packaging and should only be used in institutional settings. It is distributed by Hospira, Inc in Lake Forest, IL, USA and Cardinal Health in Dublin, OH, USA.*
