HEPARIN SODIUM INJECTION, USP is a sterile and nonpyrogenic solution used for intravenous or subcutaneous administration. It is a multi-dose vial. The solution is derived from Porcine Intestinal Mucosa and contains 1,000 USP units of heparin sodium, 9 mg sodium chloride, 1.5 mg methylparaben, and 0.15 mg propylparaben per mL. It is not for lock flush. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may have been added for pH adjustment. Each package contains five 10 mL vials. Storage instructions recommend storing the vials at 20°C to 25°C or controlled room temperature. This package is not child-resistant and is intended for institutional use only. It is distributed by Cardinal Health.*
