This is a description of Oxytocin Injection, a synthetic medication used for IV infusion or single use. It contains 10 USP units/mL and comes in 5 x 1 mL vials. The solution is sterile and contains Oxytocic activity equivalent to 10 USP Oxytocin Units, chlorobutanol anhydrous, and 0.5% water for injection. The usual dosage is available on the product insert. It should be stored at 20°to 25°C and should not be frozen. The container is not made of natural rubber latex and is not child-resistant.
