Docosanol Cream is a non-prescription medicine used as a cold sore/fever blister treatment that contains 10% docosanol, which helps to shorten the healing time of cold sores and the duration of symptoms. It is important to start using Docosanol Cream at the earliest sign of a cold sore outbreak to maximize its efficacy. The cream should be applied directly to the cold sore at least five times a day until the cold sore is healed.
