Fluconazole Tablet USP is an easy oral cure for most vaginal yeast infections, due to Candida. It is a unique treatment as it is taken orally and just one oral tablet provides a full course of therapy sufficient to cure most vaginal yeast infections. The tablet can be taken anytime – day or night, with or without meals, to ensure relief and the earliest possible relief from the infection and its symptoms. Relief of symptoms can be expected within 24 hours of taking the tablet, although it may take several days for a complete cure. Contact your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within three to five days. The most common side effects of fluconazole are headache, nausea, and abdominal pain, which are mild to moderate in nature. Do not take fluconazole if you are taking Propuisid® (cisapride) medication. The usual dosage is one 150 mg tablet, and the tablet should be pushed through the foil and taken by mouth.*
