GERI-CARE Stool Softener is a medication containing 100mg of Docusate Sodium that relieves occasional constipation and typically produces a bowel movement within 12 to 72 hours. The medication is recommended for use by adults and children above 12 years of age. Any sudden change in bowel habits that persists over a period of 2 weeks, rectal bleeding, and failure to have regular bowel movement could be signs of a serious condition, in which case a doctor should be asked.
