Gerituss (Gerituss)
Geritussin is an oral solution that contains 100mg of guaifenesin, active in helping loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive. It is useful in treating coughs that are chronic, such as those that occur with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema. Geritussin is sugar-free and alcohol-free and comes in a bottle containing 16 fluid ounces or 473 mL. The medicine is not recommended for children under 12 years, and adults should take 2 to 4 teaspoonfuls every 4 hours, not to exceed six doses in 24 hours. Geritussin should not be taken if allergic to any of the ingredients, and if cough lasts more than 7 days, consult a doctor or healthcare professional.*
