This is a drug information leaflet for an Omeprazole Delayed-Release Capsule. The capsule contains 20 mg of omeprazole (magnesium). It is used to treat heartburn that occurs two or more times a week. It is not recommended for immediate/relief of heartburn, as it may take one to four days for full effect. It is meant to be taken once daily for 14 days. The product is not to be used by individuals under the age of 18 or by those allergic to omeprazole. Users who experience side effects such as difficulty breathing, hives, etc. are advised to speak to their doctor immediately. The product may not be used for more than 14 days unless directed by the doctor. The user is cautioned against taking more than 1 capsule a day, not chewing or crushing the capsules, and seeking medical assistance if symptoms worsen.
