This is a drug facts label for a Guaifenesin 400mg expectorant tablet. It is indicated for the relief of chest congestion and helps to loosen mucus in order to make coughs more productive. Consumers are advised to speak to a doctor before use if they have a persistent or chronic cough such as those associated with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema. They are also instructed to stop use and ask a doctor if their cough lasts more than 7 days or comes back, occurs with fever, rash, or persistent headache as these could be signs of serious illness.
