This is a description of a skin protectant ointment by GeriGentle. It is a vitamin-enriched ointment for gentle skin specially formulated with vitamin A, D, E, Zinc Oxide, and Aloe vera. The ointment helps treat and prevent diaper rash and protects minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It is also helpful in treating poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. The ointment should only be used externally, and one must consult a physician if the symptoms last longer than seven days or worsens. It contains FD&C Yellow No. 5 (Tartrazine). Other key ingredients include Aloe Vera Leaf, Alpha Tocopherol, Ceteth 10, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Cholecalciferol, Glycerin, Lanolin, Lavender, Methylparaben, Mineral oil, paraffin, Petrolatum, Phenoxyethanal, Polyethylene Glycol 6000, Polysorbate 60, Propylparaben Sodium, Steareth20, Trolamine, Vitamin A, and Water. The ointment comes in a 4 oz container (113 gm) and can be applied to the affected area as needed. The product should be kept at room temperature (15°-30°C). However, excessive heat should be avoided.*
