Carbon dioxide, refrigerated liquid, with UN2187 and USP is a hazardous substance that should be kept in an upright position. It should be used under the supervision of an experienced practitioner who is knowledgeable about its indications, effects, dosages, administration, hazards, contraindications, side-effects, precautions, and frequency and duration of administration. This substance can cause rapid suffocation, increase respiration and heart rate, and may cause frostbite. The valve should always be closed after use or when empty, and should be handled according to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). If inhaled, the affected person should be removed to an area with fresh air, and if breathing is difficult, artificial respiration or oxygen should be administered.
