This is a drug fact sheet describing Povidone-lodine 10%, a topical antiseptic solution used for pre-surgical skin preparation to reduce bacteria that may cause skin infections. The product is sold as sponge sticks for external use in hospitals or by healthcare professionals. However, it should not be applied to persons allergic to iodine and not used for deep wounds, puncture wounds or serious burns. If redness, irritation, swelling or pain persist or increase, the product should be discontinued, and a doctor should be consulted. Prolonged exposure to a wet solution may cause skin irritation. The product should be stored at room temperature and kept away from children. The inactive ingredients include Nonosynol10, skl lucoside, polassium icide, sodum hydroxide, gleer, anhydrous ciic aci, Sodum dodocy! sulee, pufied water.
