This is a Drug Facts label for Povidone Iodine 10% w/w antiseptic. It is used for preparation prior to surgery and to reduce bacteria that can cause skin infection. The product must not be applied to persons allergic to iodine. It is advised to ask a doctor before use if injuries are deep wounds or serious burns. If redness, irritation, swelling, or pain persists or increases, or if an infection occurs, one should stop using the product and ask a doctor. The product should not be allowed to pool beneath the patient to avoid skin irritation. The sponges should be used to prep the desired area. The product should be stored at room temperature and kept out of reach of children. The inactive ingredients are Nonoxynok10, alkyl glucoside, potassium iodide, sodium hydroride, glycern, anhydrous citric acid, sodium dodecyl sulfate, and purified water.
