DACOGEN is a cytotoxic agent manufactured by Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. It comes in a single-dose sterile vial of 50 mg, which is for intravenous infusion only. Any unused portion must be discarded. It contains decitabine, monobasic potassium phosphate, and sodium hydride. Its stability is ensured if used within 15 minutes of reconstitution. The reconstituted solution will have a final concentration of 5 mg / mL and a pH value between 6.7 to 7.3. It should be kept out of the reach of children and stored between 20°C to 25°C with excursions permitted between 15°C to 30°C.
