Dextromethorphan Hbr 30 mg, Guaifenesin 600 mg (Mucus Relief Dm 600 mg 30 mg Extended Release Capl 1)
This is a drug facts sheet for extended-release tablets containing dextromethorphan HBr and guaifenesin, used to loosen mucus in the bronchial passageways caused by bronchial secretions. It is used for temporary relief of cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation caused by a cold or inhaled irritants. It should not be used by children under 12 years, by those taking certain prescription drugs, or by those with certain medical conditions. The recommended dosage should not be exceeded, and use should be stopped and a doctor consulted if symptoms worsen or persist. It contains lactose and should be taken with a full glass of water. The product should be kept at 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F). The product should not be crushed or chewed and is packaged in an outer carton with safety warnings.*
