Drug Facts for Pramoxine HCl 1% cream used to temporarily relieve symptoms associated with hemorrhoids and other anorectal disorders, such as pain, soreness, burning, and itching. The cream forms a protective coating over inflamed tissues to help prevent drying of tissues. Directions advise to use only externally and to clean the affected area thoroughly before applying, up to five times daily for adults. Children under 12 should ask a doctor before using. If symptoms worsen or do not improve within seven days, or if rectal bleeding occurs, stop use and ask a doctor.
