This is a drug labeled "Children's Cough DM," specifically a cough suppressant. It is a 12-hour relief medication in an orange-flavored liquid and is alcohol-free. The medication is for temporary cough relief caused by minor throat and bronchial irritation due to the common cold or inhaled irritants. It helps to suppress the cough impulse to aid sleep. The medication contains 30 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide equivalent to dextromethorphan polistirex. It is not recommended for children under 6 years old.
